Is the Mac app out?
Yes. Version 0.1.0 came out on 14 September 2026. It is a small menu-bar app: your buddies stand on top of your Dock, wander along it, tinker and nap while you work, and react when you click them.
Which Macs does it run on?
Any Mac with macOS 14 Sonoma or later. It is one universal app, so it runs natively on Apple silicon and Intel Macs alike. It is signed with our Apple Developer ID and notarized by Apple, and it comes as a direct download rather than from the Mac App Store.
Who can download it?
Members with an active plan. There is no public download link: the app downloads only for a signed-in account with an active Monthly, Annual or Lifetime plan, from your library or the download page. Signed out, you are asked to sign in first; signed in without a plan, you are sent to the plans. Monthly is $5.99 a month, Annual is $69 a year, and Lifetime is $200 once and never renews. Each buddy is $49.50 until 13 October 2026, then $99.
Will I have to buy my buddies again?
No. The buddies you chose on the website are saved to your account. Sign in to the app with the same email and they download onto your Mac. Nothing comes bundled in the app: only the buddies your account has paid for appear, and they work while your plan is active.
How do I sign in?
The app opens on the terms. Tick “I agree to the terms of use”, then enter your email and the 6-digit code we send you; the code works for 10 minutes. It is the same kind of code the website sends, and there is no password to remember.
How many Macs can I use?
One Mac per account. To move to another Mac, sign out in the app on the old one first. If you can’t, because that Mac was lost, sold or broken, contact us from the help page and we free your account for the new one.
How do updates work?
The app checks for updates once a day. With “Automatically install updates” on, which is the default, it downloads them in the background and installs them when you quit the app. There is nothing to download again from the website.
Where do I get help?
The help page answers the common questions, and the contact page reaches the team. The General tab in the app’s Settings links to the help page too.
