This policy is pending final legal review.
Buddies of yourself, friends and family
You can ask for a custom buddy of yourself or another adult who has agreed to it. You confirm that permission when you send the request. We don’t make buddies of children, and we turn down photos that include strangers, ID documents or intimate images.
Buddies inspired by public figures
A buddy inspired by a celebrity, founder or other public figure can be made as a private one-off for the customer’s personal use. It is a cartoon take, delivered only to that customer and never listed or advertised in our store. We turn down requests meant to mock, sexualize, harass, trick, campaign or suggest an endorsement.
Leaders & Founders collection
Characters in our store are original types inspired by the world of founders and tech leaders. They do not use a real person’s name or copy a real person’s face. A named character of a real person appears in the store only with that person’s written agreement.
Ask us to take a buddy down
If you think a buddy was made from your likeness without your permission, contact us and choose “Likeness report” as the topic. Tell us who you are and how to reach you. We pause the buddy while we look into it, and remove it, along with the photos behind it, if the request was not allowed.
What happens to the customer
When a buddy is removed after a valid report, it no longer unlocks for that customer and leaves their library. The refund policy explains what happens to the payment. Repeated misuse leads to the account being closed.
