My Dock Buddies is a Mac app today, and that is the only place your buddies live. There is no Windows version, no port under way and no date. What there is: a way to tell us you would use one.
If enough people leave their email here, we will build it. If they don’t, we would rather say so plainly than keep a coming-soon banner up for a year.
What would have to change
The buddies themselves would come across nearly as they are: the characters, their activities, the little stories they play and the way they react to you all run in a layer that is not Mac-specific. That is the part we would keep.
The rest is the Mac app around them, and it would be rebuilt rather than ported. Your buddies stand on the Dock; Windows has a taskbar that can sit on any edge, hide itself, and stretch across monitors that each scale differently. Signing in, keeping your characters encrypted to your machine, and updating the app all use Apple frameworks with Windows equivalents that work differently enough to need doing properly.
None of that is exotic. It is simply real work, and we would rather do it because people asked than guess.
