Meet Max: a curious mind in tiny sneakers.

Max is happiest when there is something to figure out. He wanders between tasks, celebrates the small wins, and takes his coffee breaks very seriously. A little restless. Always on your side.
A builder, not a taskmaster
Max began with a simple personality: curious, energetic and a little chaotic. He is the sort of companion who notices an empty corner and immediately wonders what he could build there. His job is not to turn your day into another to-do list. He is there for company, with a little movement and humor around the work you already do.
The small details carry the character
His charcoal hoodie, rolled jeans and red sneakers make him easy to recognize even when he is tiny. The chestnut quiff and expressive eyebrows do the same work up close. Keeping those details consistent matters more than giving him a new accessory for every activity.
Try a moment of Max
The playground on our homepage lets you play with Max right now. Click blue for a walk, coral for a run, yellow for a jump, mint for a wave or purple for a celebration. You can pause the motion or let him relax at any time.
Always learning something new
Max keeps picking up new activities. We add more regularly, often from ideas people send us, and members get every one of them as part of their plan.
What can Max do today?
Max’s 3D build has 37 activities, 33 props and 8 moods. The activities fall into 4 groups: 13 for work, 6 for breaks, 7 for desk care, and 11 for play. Every new activity we add is included for members at no extra cost.

Max’s work activities: think, type, celebrate, debug code, write in a notebook, read a book, light-bulb idea, draw on a tablet, plug in a cable, write a to-do list, react to an error, video call, and repair a lamp.

Where can I see Max?
On your Dock, in the My Dock Buddies app for Mac, which is out now for macOS 14 Sonoma or later, on an Apple silicon or Intel Mac. Choose Max on the website, download the app from your library and sign in with the same email: Max downloads onto your Mac and stands on top of your Dock. The download is for members with an active plan.
Which moods does Max show?
Max shows 8 moods: happy, sad, focused, surprised, tired, thinking, laughing, and excited. A mood changes the eyes and mouth on Max’s 3D face, and it plays alongside whatever Max is doing.
What is Max learning next?
Next on Max’s list: tossing a paper ball at the bin, spinning in the office chair, and doodling on a sticky note. Like everything on our roadmap, these come in the order the work happens, not on promised dates. We add new activities regularly, often from ideas people send us.
