Monthly, Annual or Lifetime: which My Dock Buddies plan fits you?
Annual is the cheapest plan over a year: $69, about $5.75 a month. Monthly, at $5.99 a month, suits you if you would rather not pay for a year up front. Lifetime is $200 once and never renews; it costs less than Annual if you keep it 3 years or more. No plan includes a buddy, and a buddy costs the same on every plan, so the plan price is the whole difference.

What does each plan include?
Monthly is $5.99 a month, Annual is $69 a year, and Lifetime is a single $200 payment for a membership that never renews and never expires. No plan includes a buddy: on every plan you buy each buddy you want, at the same price. Custom buddy requests come with Annual and Lifetime only. Every plan gets each new activity we add, at no extra cost. Prices are in US dollars, and any tax is shown at checkout.
What does the first year cost?
Here is year one at the founding launch price, counting twelve Monthly payments. With one buddy: $118.50 on Annual, $121.38 on Monthly and $249.50 on Lifetime. With two buddies: $168, $170.88 and $299. A buddy is a one-time unlock, so it never adds to a renewal. The pricing page sets the plans side by side.
When does the buddy price change?
Every buddy is $49.50 once until 13 October 2026, then $99. $49.50 is the founding launch price, half the standard price, and $99 is a future price, not one we charged before. Juno, coming next, and Aadi, who follows him, will be $99 each when released; until then they are locked and cannot be bought. Buy one buddy after 13 October 2026 and year one comes to $168 on Annual, $170.88 on Monthly and $299 on Lifetime. The price that applies is always shown before checkout.
Is Lifetime worth it?
It depends on how long you want your buddies around. In year one, Lifetime costs the most: $249.50 with one buddy, against $118.50 on Annual. A buddy costs the same on every plan, so only the plan prices count: at today’s prices, Annual passes Lifetime’s $200 with its payment in year 3, and Monthly with its payment in month 34. The other difference is what happens when you stop paying: Monthly and Annual buddies pause when the plan ends and come back when you restart it, while Lifetime never expires. All three plans include the Mac app download, and the app shows your buddies while the plan is active.
Can I switch to Lifetime, or cancel?
Yes to both. Choose Lifetime on the pricing page or in your library. When the $200 payment goes through, your Monthly or Annual renewal is turned off, so it is never charged again, and your buddies move to Lifetime. Time left on the old plan is not refunded. To cancel Monthly or Annual, turn off renewal in your library: you keep access until the end of the time you paid for, you are not charged again, and you can turn renewal back on before then. Lifetime never renews, so there is nothing to cancel. On Monthly, switching to Lifetime also lets you send a custom request straight away.
Can I use a coupon code?
Yes. If you have a coupon code, enter it on the secure checkout page. Our payment partner runs that page: it takes the payment, adds any tax and sends your receipt. Your buddies appear in your library as soon as the payment goes through, usually within seconds.
Can I get a refund?
All sales are final. Plans (Lifetime included), buddy unlocks, custom buddies and coffees are not refunded once paid, including for a change of mind. We always put billing mistakes right: if you were charged twice, charged the wrong amount, or something you paid for never unlocked, contact us within 14 days of the charge and we unlock it or return the extra charge.
