What happens to your custom buddy photos.
Only the My Dock Buddies team sees the photos you send for a custom buddy. We use them only to make your buddy, never to train anything or in promotion, and we delete them 30 days after delivery. Here is the detail: who sees them, what they are for and when they go.
Who sees my photos?
Your reference photos are kept private, and only the My Dock Buddies team can see them. They sit in private storage that nobody can open directly. Our own server shows them only to a signed-in account that is allowed to see them, so there is no public link to find or pass around.
Are my photos used to train AI?
No. We use your photos only to make the buddy you asked for. We never use them to train anything, never show them publicly and never use them in promotion. Your photos and personal details are never reused for anyone else, even when two people ask for similar characters.
When are my photos deleted?
We delete your reference photos, and the previews made from them, 30 days after we deliver your buddy. The delivery email reminds you of that. If a request is declined, cancelled or refunded, we delete its photos within 30 days. Want them gone sooner? Send a request through the contact page from the email you sign in with. Once the photos are deleted, they disappear from your library too.
Does the payment partner see my photos?
No. You pay for a custom buddy on our payment partner’s secure checkout page. It sees your email and what you bought, but never your reference photos or your request; the checkout only carries reference numbers that tell us which request was paid. We never see your card details.
Which photos won’t you accept?
Send only photos you are allowed to share. We don’t make buddies of children, and we don’t accept photos with strangers in them, ID documents or intimate images. If another adult is in the photos, they need to know and agree; before you send, you confirm that and that everyone shown is at least 18. Please keep passwords, payment details and sensitive personal information out of your notes. Anyone who finds a buddy of themselves they did not agree to can choose “Likeness report” on the contact page.
Who can see my custom buddy?
Each custom request belongs to the account that sent it. Only that account can follow its progress, see the finished buddy and unlock it. Custom buddies are never listed in the store or used in marketing unless you separately say yes. Custom requests come with the Annual and Lifetime plans; the custom buddy page walks through each step, and the privacy policy lists everything we keep and for how long.
